Google Adsense: How Much Can I Earn?

By Ash Aff

Tip! Increase Your Content. A small 8-10 page site can generate AdSense revenue particularly if the information is up to date and the site is well maintained.

Google adsense is a program where a webmaster can earn money by adding the google adsense codes to their webpages and blogs. Google started this program in the middle of 2003 and today there millions of websites which have these ads placed on their websites.

Google provides 468x60, 728x90, 120x600 and 300x250 text banner ads and image ads of various sizes. There is no maximum ceiling on the amount of money you can earn through clicks. Google pays every month.

Tip! Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all 'thank you' pages.

You cannot predict how much you can earn from clicks, as it depends on how much the advertisers pay per click for google adwords. For instance if there are 3 google ads shown in your website, then the pay you would receive per click will not be the same for each ads. It would be different.

Who can join google adsense program: Anybody who has a website can join google adsense program except websites like gambling, adult related sites and others. If a person does not have a website then he can start a blog and create his own web page and place his google ads and start earning.

There are more than 150,000 google adwords advertisers today and the advertisers list is increasing day by day. Every website owner wants to sell or promote his product or services and internet is one of the best ways to promote them.

Which clicks get maximum earnings: Keywords like debt, credit card, mesothelioma, laptop, home equity loans, etc are regarded as high paying keywords and articles on these topics help a person to get more $ per click.

There are lots of publishers who have been making thousands of dollars with google adsense and websites which have lots of content should always try google adsense in their website. Even if you do not have a website then you can start a blog and add your adsense to the blog and start earning.

Tip! PPC (Pay Per Click) Advertising - If the only revenue from you site is from Adsense, I recommend against this option, but if you're selling a product or service, this could be a worth while option for you. For more information on PPC Advertising (as well as Adsense information) visit www.

6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense - Part 3

By Cory Threlfall

Tip! To start off, Google Adsense business should be treated as importantly as other businesses. Its totally unethical to call it as residual income.

Google Adsense is simply pure genius because of its simplicity to produce profits from your website Day and Night while your sleeping.

Who knew that a business on the Internet could be so simple to build and makes many people 5 to 6 figures a month by simply offering people what they're looking for... INFORMATION!

Now if you've been following my "6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense" series and have viewed some of the websites out there with Google Adsense on them then you should have a good idea by now of what you need to do to get your Google Adsense empire off and running.

I like giving examples because it really reinforces the importance of where you need to place your Google Adsense Ads in order to get a good CTR(Click Through Rate) as well as how you can blend them into your content so they don't look so obvious that there ads and as well, give you some idea's as to what others are doing so your not left there scratching your head saying... "Am I doing this right?".

Tip! Be polite! Quite often I hear of people banned from AdSense who go in with all guns blazing. I can understand that people are angry and frustrated by being accused of something they didn't do but remember you're dealing with human beings.

These few last weeks I've been working Day and Night on a new project using Google Adsense and want you first hand to take a look so you can model it for your own Adsense websites.

This website will grow on it's own, and the cool thing is, I won't have to write a single word if I don't want to.

Go take a look ==> http://www.thearticlesyndicate.com

Like I said, I like to give you examples and this is an example of what I talked about in my first part of my VRE Google Adsense series.

Tip! Do not display AdSense ads and a competitor's ads (like Overture's) on the same page at the same time.

Anyway, without further adieu, lets move on to the next VRE Google Adsense business model that could pay you in two ways depending how you choose to structure it.

In the last installment I covered "Web Directories".

So in this part of the VRE series I'm going to cover "Review Sites" and then give you some examples of what they might look like.

Tip! A search box on every page gives you another chance for earning Adsense income.

Here we go.

VRE Model #3. Review Sites.

"Review Sites" are pretty self explanatory but are basically websites that focus on writing Product Reviews(people giving there personal opinion) about Products and/or Services that people offer on the web and/or offline.(ex: Automobile Reviews, etc.)

That's it. That's all they are. BUT, those reviews still contain "CONTENT". Content Google can use to display targeted Google Adsense Ads which in turn could earn you BIG money if you target the right niche.

Now, as I just mentioned "Review Sites" can target any Niche, whether it's Sports, Gambling, Dating -- basically whatever your interests are as long as there's a market for it.

I also mentioned earlier that you could get paid two ways by having your own review site and it's really NO secret.

All you have to do is write reviews on Products and/or Services that offer an Affiliate Program and then simply incorporate your affiliate link into your review using a quick "Call To Action" like...

Tip! You have to choose keywords with high costs per click (CPC). The CPC will determine how much you'll receive every time a visitor of yours will click on the ad sent by Google AdSense.

... "Click Here NOW For All The Details".

Now, if they don't click out through an Google Adsense Ad and choose to click out through your affiliate link and purchase, well... you did your job. You just made a commission.

That's it.

Now you could also set up a review site where others could submit their reviews, the only problem is... they get the affiliate commission, but you still have your Google Adsense through out your review site making you clicks that make you money.

It's up to you on how you want to build it.

Now, lets wrap this up with a few examples shall we.

Here's 3 that I think will give you a good idea of what to expect:

Web Source:

http://www.web-source.net/previous_reviews.htm

Top Ten Reviews:

http://www.toptenreviews.com/

Consumer Search:

http://www.consumersearch.com/www/lawn_and_garden/

Now, as I said earlier, your review site can be Topic Specific or can target multiple Topics. It's up to you.

These are just a few that I picked randomly while doing a search on Google.

I hope they gave you some idea's on whether or not you want to consider building an VRE review site.

Surf around on Google - http://www.google.com - in the area that interests you the most to see if anybody else is doing it or do some keyword research to see if it's even worth pursuing.

Tip! My suggestion would be to have one Adsense block in your content, and an Adlinks block somewhere at the top of your page. Adlinks is great because if someone clicks on a link in it, they are taken to a page with many more choices on it, which increases your chances of them clicking through.

There are always factors to consider before building a business, even with Google Adsense, so make sure you do your homework before hand.

That's it for now. So, be sure to be on the look out for my next installment of "6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense".

Tip! Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all 'thank you' pages.

6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense - Part 2

By Cory Threlfall

Tip! Focus on a niche. As smart as the Adsense bot is, it has a hard time figuring out what your web site or blog is all about if you're writing on everything under the sun.

Okay, it's now time for the next installment of... "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense" series.

By now you should have a good idea of what Virtual Real Estate is and why it's to your benefit that you start a network of your own VRE sites depending on the model you choose.

Tip! A search box on every page gives you another chance for earning Adsense income.

In the last installment of this series I covered "Article Directories".

In this part of the VRE series I'm going to cover "Web Directories" in general and then give you some examples of what they might be and look like.

Sound good?

VRE Model #2. Web Directories.

An "Web Directory" is simply a directory on the World Wide Web that specializes in linking to other web sites and categorizing those links. Web Directory owners will often allow site owners to submit their site for inclusion. Then human editors will review their submission and if accepted, will be added to their database.

Tip! Keep Adsense above the fold. In the web world, the 'fold' is the bottom of the page.

The one thing about Web Directories is they are often used as part of a website marketing strategy for being indexed in the major search engines like Yahoo!, Google, MSN to name a few.

The main strategy behind someone submitting there website to a directory is that a new site needs to quickly build inbound links from reputable sources. In doing this they will get a higher ranking within search engine results under there target keywords depending on the PR(popularity ranking) of that directory or inbound link.

Tip! Use AdSense's competitive filter mechanism to screen out the ads that you don't want.

That's the basic run-down of what an Web Directories purpose is and why they make a great VRE business model.

Web Directories can be and target anything you want them to. It's your directory, so you make the decision as to what it is about.

As your directory grows, so will its traffic.

And if you have targeted affiliate programs strategically placed on your directory along side your Google Adsense code, you could be making a nice, steady income form your directory like many others are right now.

Now... as I said at the beginning of this article I would give you some examples of some Web Directories with Google Adsense so you see for yourself whether or not this is something you want to venture into.

So, with that said, here are 3 directories that I think will give you a good idea of what to expect:

Free Stuff Directory:

All Free Things - http://www.allfreethings.com/

eBook Directory:

Wisdom eBooks - http://www.wisdomebooks.com/

Software Directory:

Software5 - http://www.software5.com/

Now remember, your Online Directory can be about anything you want. Your in control.

These are just some examples of whats out.

Did you happen to see the Google Adsense ads?

BINGO!

Also, pay special attention to where those Google Adsense ads are positioned because this is KEY to getting a good CTR(Click Through Rate) with your Google Adsense ads.

Tip! My suggestion would be to have one Adsense block in your content, and an Adlinks block somewhere at the top of your page. Adlinks is great because if someone clicks on a link in it, they are taken to a page with many more choices on it, which increases your chances of them clicking through.

Now, at this point, it's up to you to make the decision on whether or not this is the type of VRE business model you want to use and start.

I recommend you surf around and see whats out there with your interests in mind. By doing that you will be able to get some good idea's as to what to expect and more importantly, model your directory and/or VRE sites from.

Well, that's it for now. So, be sure to be on the look out for my next installment of "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense".

6 POWERFUL VRE Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense - Part 1

By Cory Threlfall

Tip! Keep Adsense above the fold. In the web world, the 'fold' is the bottom of the page.

VRE -- better known as "Virtual Real Estate" is literally everywhere online.

That's right. Everytime you do a search on whatever it is your searching for via the Internet you get a list of results. Within that list of results lye's thousands, if not, millions of pages of Virtual Real Estate that is making someone out there on the WWW some handsome profits.

The question is... "what have you done in order to stake your Internet "VRE" claim so you too can enjoy some of that profit as well?"

If you haven't started anything yet, that's okay because I did a little research for you and came up with these "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense" so you too can benefit like the many others out there online.

The first VRE business model I'd like to talk about are -- Article Directories.

VRE Model #1. Articles Directories.

Article Directories are in my mind are probably one of the best VRE business models on the web simply because they offer your audience and publishers Multiple Channels of information on any topic.

Tip! Have more than one Adsense ad on each page use the new text link adverts at the top of your site, a box ad near the top of your page and a further ad near the bottom of your page.

And the facts are, people come online for information.

So, what do Article Directories contain?

That's right... Information! ... and lots of it.

The other great benefit to Article Directories is that you don't have to write a single word if you don't want to because the whole purpose of starting your Article Directory in the first place is to get other people(we also call them authors) to submit their content for your readers and/or publishers to read and use.

Tip! Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.

Now, the Rule Of Thumb is simple when it comes to growing your Article Directory and that is... the more authors you recruit, the more your Article Directory will grow, filling it full of targeted information for your readers to digest and for publishers to use on their websites.

It gets better, so keep reading.

Did you know that the more pages you have within your Article Directory means... the more search engine food you'll have for the search engines to come and index into their database which will then be displayed within the search engines search results.

Remember in the beginning of this article when I was talking about the search engine results being full of Virtual Real Estate. This is where your Article Directories webpages(or your Virtual Real Estate) will be listed for web surfers find.

This also means that you'll receive a lot of FREE targeted search engine traffic to your Article Directory as it grows giving your authors FREE targeted traffic to their sites and keeping them happy, and at the same time, will be building your VRE nest egg on the WWW.

Tip! Have relevant keywords on your site! If your site is about 'web site traffic' and you just keep mentioning the word 'traffic' by itself, your Google AdSense ads may display ads for rush hour traffic, or traffic jams. Which has nothing to do with your website.

Are you starting to see the benefits to starting your own Article Directory on the Internet?

I hope so.

But don't go anywhere just yet, I'm not finished.

There's two more things I want to talk to you about before this part of the article series ends.

The first is RSS -- better known as "Real Simple Syndication" and what RSS does is it allows you to syndicate your Article Directories content or just content in general through an RSS feed so that any reader and/or publisher who subscribes to a particular RSS feed within your Article Directory will receive ANY new updated content that is published... INSTANTLY!

The other benefit to a RSS feed is... lets say you have 1000 publishers subscribed to one of your RSS feeds and one of your authors submits a new article at your Article Directory, all those publishers who subscribed to that RSS feed will receive it once that RSS feed updates and when someone clicks on the link within that RSS feed to read the new article, guess where the visitor is sent to?

Tip! Be polite! Quite often I hear of people banned from AdSense who go in with all guns blazing. I can understand that people are angry and frustrated by being accused of something they didn't do but remember you're dealing with human beings.

You guessed it, your Article Directory, with your Google Adsense ads(I'll talk about that in a second) and whatever other related affiliate links you have on that webpage.

Now... for the BEST part, how-to make a $Profit$ with your Article directory.

I'm telling you, this is the easiest money you'll ever make for simply supplying your viewers and the Internet(A.K.A. The Information Super Highway) with what it needs the most, Information!

How do you do it?

Heard of Google Adsense(as I mentioned just a minute ago), because if you haven't, now you have.

What is Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is Googles affiliate program for publishers and how it works is it displays ads targeted towards the content on that particular webpage being viewed.

How do you get paid? Simple. Your reader just has to click on one of the ads within the Google Adsense ad box on that webpage and depending on what the topic is and keyword could pay some handsome commissions(usually between 35% to 50%).

And, guess what? You didn't even have to do any selling OR follow-up.

Tip! Poor Quality Websites: Owing to the low barrier of entry for web-publishers to display AdSense advertisements, several poor quality websites now freely display Google ads. This does not always please the advertisers, especially if their advertisements show up on adult or hate sites.

Not bad and believe me those clicks add up Fast and by having the search engines returning frequently for regular indexing and having RSS feeds (remember, when someone clicks on the RSS feed link on someone elses website they get redirected back to yours with your Google Adsense ads on it and other affiliate links) for other publishers to use on their websites you'll soon see your Google Adsense profits get Bigger and BIGGER!

Well, that's it for now. So be sure to be on the look out for my next installment of the "6 POWERFUL VRE(Virtual Real Estate) Business Models You Can Start Building In 2006 Using Google Adsense".

Google Adsense Earnings - Real or Mirage?

By Partha Bhattacharya

Tip! Use Google Adwords - Advertise your adsense pages using Google Adwords program. To do this you need to build a keyword list of at least 200 and just bid a minimum amount for all of them.

In a recent web content for one of our clients, I sang paeans to Google Adsense earnings' potential. In particular, I was referred to an article in USA Today [http://www.usatoday.com/tech/news/2006-03-28-googe-adsense_x.htm] that showcased instances of substantial Google Adsense earnings by "third-world" website owners for whom Google's doles are like god-sent (never mind Google's own skyrocketing revenue from Adsense). Since I was constrained by my client's need to write on virtues of Adsense while authoring his web content, I couldn't focus on 'allegedly' darker sides of Adsense. I say 'allegedly' because it is not clear whether Google really is the culprit as made out to be. Be that as it may, let me turn to what a few website owners faced while trying to claim a pie of Google Adsense earnings.

Stas Bekman's story

Stas started publishing Adsense ads on his website from December, 2005. His site was already receiving 600 page-views a day, so Stas thought Adsense ads would be ideal to put his site-estate to perfect use. Since Adsense delivered highly targeted ads, there was always a chance that his viewers would click on the ads resulting in revenues for both Stas and Google. He was not off the mark in his assumption. The ads displayed on his website did generate clicks, and on one day the number of clicks surged to 169. This generated Stas's Google Adsense earnings of $32 on a single day. The 'WOW' however didn't last long.

Google came hotfooted and charged Stas of generating invalid clicks from his website, suspending his account promptly. Whatever his Google Adsense earnings were at the time of suspension also stood withdrawn. Since Stas didn't pull down the ads immediately though they were of no use to him for the time being, it remained unclear as to who earned the commission money for the clicks generated during this period.

Stas got going immediately and after a series of email correspondence, his account was finally restored by Google a few days later. Stas apparently agreed that deliberate clicks (click fraud) triggered the episode (which Google too said). But the question remained as to who did that? As it turned out, Stas had to forego $30 of his Google Adsense earnings. He didn't mind. He reasoned that for all its supposed follies, Adsense does fetch money for his website. What has Stas got to say on his experience? Taste this:

Tip! Get more traffic! This always seems like an obvious tip, but so many people wonder why they aren't making good money (or any money) with Adsense, and it turns out they only receive 5 or 10 visitors a day. You don't necessarily have to have millions of page views a day to do well with Adsense (though we can all dream), but you do need to get up there in the thousands before you can start thinking about making a living this way.

"...the next time you get excited by all those books and sites touting Google Ads as your greatest source of revenue, think twice before you waste your time and energy on something that is *not* under your control and can be taken away by a malicious user in co-operation with Google AdSense team. Google AdSense is undeniably a great tool when it works, but I'd definitely love to have a better control over it."

Tip! Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.

Click here to read Stas Bekman's story.

Benjamin Cohen's account

A similar experience is reflected in Benjamin's account. In his case, after Adsense earnings stopped for him for the first time, Benjamin waited awhile and applied afresh. He got a new account but that too was terminated by Google for alleged 'click fraud'. Though he gives a fair measure of his Google Adsense earnings each time his account operated, Benjamin fails to mention anything regarding number of clicks or whether there were anomalies in them. After going couple of times through Benjamin's article, I concluded that more information would be needed to know what exactly happened. Benjamin complains about the VAT payments but that is something not directly related to Google Adsense earnings per se.

Benjamin Cohen's account can be reached here.

The truth

The truth must lie between what Stas and Benjamin faced and the policies of Google Adsense. Let me turn to what Google has to advise on Adsense. To be sure, Google has lined up many success stories that range from health website to home improvement site to even one that deals in aircraft seating information for frequent flyers. If you feel intrigued, there's perhaps a reason or two there. The common thread is the fact that many site-owners do have bulging Google Adsense earnings.

Tip! Have more than one Adsense ad on each page use the new text link adverts at the top of your site, a box ad near the top of your page and a further ad near the bottom of your page.

Speaking on behalf of Google, its reluctance to spell out all that we want to know is understandable, given the fact that the contextual advertising scene is becoming very competitive with each passing day. Having said that, I want to echo Stas's wish of having more control on Adsense account. In the least, let Google automatically filter self-clicks and not count them for revenue. YPN (Yahoo! Publisher Network) is already doing that. Why Google cannot is a mystery. If Google takes care of this small scruple, it'll make life easy for many site owners like Stas and Benjamin.

Tip! Affiliatships remain an important threat to Google AdSense. Well-written content on a website often brings good return traffic.

Summing up

Perhaps Google has reasons to act against Stas and Benjamin like it did. Perhaps not. Is the reason attempted click fraud? If so, what about their insistence that they didn't do what Google says they did? Even as the debate continues, let there be no doubt that the lure of handsome Google Adsense earnings is too much for small website owners to not abstain from opting for it.

The Triangle of Relativity - How Adsense Works the Best

By Jim Jones, Jr

Tip! Cut down on clutter. If you have menus upon menus on pages surrounded by polls, pictures, and lots of other features that can distract the visitor, you may really be hurting your Adsense CTR (and thus your total earnings).

I don't know what to call it... I was thinking about "The Triangle of Relativity" or "The Relative Triangle" or many others that would be better off not written down. Anyway, the key to making money with Google Adsense is this:

1) Have a website with lots of content about one subject.

2) Put Google Adsense on your site such that the ads relate to your content.

3) Get people who are interested in your content to come to your site.

Each of these three things is worthy of hours of discussion, but it is important to not lose sight of the fact that if any one of these things is missing, your chance of making a lot of money with adsense is slim. Let me explain:

If you have a site about subject X and your visitors are interested in subject X, but your ads are about subject Y, then your visitors will probably not click on your ads.

If you have a site about subject X with ads about subject X and your visitors come to your site thinking they are going to find subject Y, but find subject X, they will leave.

If you have a site about subject X, and your ads are about subject X and your visitors come because they are interested in subject X, then there's a very good chance that the ads will be interesting to them and they will click.

Tip! My suggestion would be to have one Adsense block in your content, and an Adlinks block somewhere at the top of your page. Adlinks is great because if someone clicks on a link in it, they are taken to a page with many more choices on it, which increases your chances of them clicking through.

There are a lot of other things that go into being successful running an adsense website, but this is the key. If you don't understand this, nothing else matters. That's not to say that nothing else is important, just that you HAVE to keep this concept top-of-mind.

Jim Jones is the webmaster at http://www.WillBlogForMoney.com He has been making money online since 1996 and does it all from the web-design to asp coding to marketing to networking. He has started 4 very successful online businesses over the years and enjoys sharing his ideas and experiences on his blogs.

Pay For Action Adsense A Fundamental Problem

By Halstatt Pires

Tip! Do not hack or modify Google AdSense code other than to change the parameters that Google authorizes you to change.

Ever inventive, Google has been sending out emails to select Adsense publishers regarding a new pay for action program. This is bad news for publishers promoting Adsense.

Pay For Action Adsense - A Fundamental Problem

If you are reading this, you probably know what Adsense is and are using it. If not, it is a program whereby Google allows sites to place ads from the Adwords program on their site. When a visitor to your site clicks one of the ads, you get a cut of the bid price from Google. It is a simple program that surprisingly generates a significant amount of revenue.

Tip! Keep Adsense above the fold. In the web world, the 'fold' is the bottom of the page.

Google is now beta testing a new version of Adsense it is calling pay for action. While Google is not providing much information, the program apparently is an attempt to convert Adsense into one giant affiliate program. Instead of paying publishers for clicks on ads, the program will only pay a commission if a person clicks on one of the ads on your site and takes the relevant action on the advertiser's site. In this case, it appears the action is buying whatever is offered or becoming a lead. In exchange for killing the click revenue aspect of Adsense, you apparently get a cut off the commission for whatever revenue is generated by the advertiser from your traffic.

Tip! Don't 'beg for clicks' or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.

There are a number of problems with this approach. First, Google offers no explanation of how it will account for sites that list phone numbers for orders, a method used by customers that Google can't hope to track. Second, Google has offered no indication of how revenues will be generated from sites offering services such as lawyers, doctors and so on. A vast majority of people clicking onto these sites will telephone or email the business, which makes tracking a very difficult game. Admittedly, the program is in beta testing, so Google may come up with solutions for all of these issues. There is, however, a more fundamental problem.

Tip! Choose the best AdSense ad format that works for your site.

The pay for action program contains one inherent flaw. It eliminates the motivation of the advertiser to have a good, fast site that converts and proper customer service. All indications are the advertisers will be able to use the platform for free and only pay commissions to Google which are split with us, the publishers. If so, what motivation does the advertiser have to improve their site? What motivation does the advertiser have to satisfy customers? In my honest opinion, the answer is very little. Yes, they want to get more sales, but what do they really care if they are getting a bunch of free traffic?

Tip! Follow the adsense program policies to the letter.

If I told you I would send you 100,000 visitors a day and you had to pay me a commission only on sales, how much would you work to improve the site? Be honest. Perhaps you would work on it for a month or so, but after that human nature would take over. We all know of sites out there that haven't been touched in years because they have so many affiliates producing tons of traffic that they can just kick back and collect cash.

I fully understand that Google is trying to deal with click fraud, click bots and so on. Perhaps the pay for action program will be the solution when it is ultimately finalized. Perhaps it will be the greatest thing since, well, Google. My experience, however, is that a majority of affiliate programs are iffy at best, otherwise I would be promoting them instead of Adsense!

Again, it is to early to draw any conclusions regarding Google's move, but people with Adsense ads on their site should take notice. This is a fundamental change that redistributes the risks and benefits of the Adsense program. I bet Yahoo is salivating about the prospects for its Publisher Network if Google goes ahead. Personally, I planned to stay with Adsense for as long as it was offered, but have my doubts now. If I wanted to partner with other sites, I would have done it a long time ago.

Tip! Use Adsense Revenue Sharing Sites - Forum and directory websites now offer adsense revenue sharing on their sites. Most offer 50% sharing which means your adsense code will be displayed on your forum posts or article post pages 50% of the time.

How to Profit from Google AdSense and Google Referral Programs?

By David Au

Tip! Don't 'beg for clicks' or provide any incentive for clicking on your Google AdSense ads.

If you have your own website, you should consider Google Adsense in your website homepage and content pages.

Google AdSense is a simple and easy way for website publishers to display relevant Google ads on their website homepage and content pages and earn money. Because the ads are related to what your visitors are looking for on your own website or matched to the characteristics and interests of the visitors your content attracts you'll finally have a way to both monetize and enhance your content pages.

Now, you can earn more by spreading the word about AdSense and Firefox through the Google Referral Programs.

By adding a referral button to your website, you can help connect users to useful products like AdSense and Firefox - while generating additional earnings in the process. If you're not already an AdSense publisher, you'll need to sign up in order to use referrals. Click the Google icon for full information and online application.

Tip! Cut down on clutter. If you have menus upon menus on pages surrounded by polls, pictures, and lots of other features that can distract the visitor, you may really be hurting your Adsense CTR (and thus your total earnings).

Tips For A Successful Adsense Site

By Gabriel J. Adams

Tip! Keep AdSense ads off of your registration, confirmation, and all 'thank you' pages.

One doesn't have to dig very deep on the internet to find an adsense site. At its most basic level, an adsense site is a site which displays Google Adsense ads to earn money. The problem is that the majority of Adsense sites are trash - just content scraped off other sites that has been thrown together into a mish-mash that the webmaster calls a website.

Tip! Use AdSense's competitive filter mechanism to screen out the ads that you don't want.

If you want to be highly successful in the Adsense site industry, you're going to have to do something drastically different. Following are several tips you can use to distinguish yourself from the crowd.

1 - Use a professional design
Many adsense sites use a very basic, cheap looking template that they paste their content into. If you use a professional website design, people are more likely to place value and trust in your site.

2 - Use unique content
Don't use recycled content. Take the time or money required to get your own unique articles and content written for your site. This will allow you to offer your readers content that they cannot get anywhere else, as well as give you better rankings in the search engines.

Tip! There is a special kind of Adsense ads called AdLinks. Blend AdLinks with other navigation links or place horizontal adlinks at the top of your webpage.

3 - Create a valuable resource
The purpose of an Adsense site should not be just to get a visitor to come and click on the ads. It should be to get a visitor to come, and because the like you site so much, keep coming back again and again. That is how you can have a highly successful site - returning visitors.

Tip! Do not use fake information when opening your Google AdSense account.

4 - Use other monetization methods
Adsense should not be your only source of income from a site. Sell a product, promote affiliate programs, sell banner ads, or sell text link ads on your site. This serves to diversify your income, as well as gives other content for your visitors to look at or click on.

Getting Started with Google AdSense

By Laura Wheeler

Tip! PPC (Pay Per Click) Advertising - If the only revenue from you site is from Adsense, I recommend against this option, but if you're selling a product or service, this could be a worth while option for you. For more information on PPC Advertising (as well as Adsense information) visit www.

Google AdSense is either the greatest thing since peanut butter, or evil
incarnate, depending on who you listen to! Personally, I like AdSense. It
allows me to earn money from sites that just sat there waiting for me to put
in some kind of method for charging people previously.

I can write whatever I feel inspired to write, slap it onto a website, and
make money from it! Of course, if I write popular things, I make more money.
And if I write using terms people LOOK for, I make even more!

A website with a fair amount of traffic can make a little. Purportedly, the
average site makes $20 per month. When you consider how little work you have
to do to get that $20 per month, ongoing, it is not too hard to build
another site that makes $20 per month. Better yet, it is not too hard to
tweak the wording of the pages a tad so that they use keywords that people
will use to search for them, and increase the income on each site.

Tip! Poor Quality Websites: Owing to the low barrier of entry for web-publishers to display AdSense advertisements, several poor quality websites now freely display Google ads. This does not always please the advertisers, especially if their advertisements show up on adult or hate sites.

I am in no way suggesting anything unethical, just stating that search
engine optimization techniques become doubly important when the site uses
Google AdSense to earn, because not only will it get you more targeted
traffic, it will get ads delivered to your site that are more closely
targeted to your content. Remember not to include words that you do not want
Google to display ads about.

Your site must be built, and should be registered with search engines before
you post ads. And you have to have content - not just a notice saying "in
development", on every page that you put ads on.

The first thing you need to do is to go to the Google AdSense site and check
out their terms of use. They are pretty strict about your content, and you
must follow the rules or they'll boot you out with no warning. Get your
account, and then select some code that coordinates with your site design.

Tip! Put your ads close to your content! Don't put your content way up at the top and then put your AdSense ads waaaay down at the bottom. You won't get very many click throughs.

Place the code in a logical place - Top of the page, sidebars, and bottom of
the page are standard places for ads, to keep your site from looking tacky.
Google has a limit of how many you can put on a page, so make sure you know
what it is for the type of ad you are using.

Get the code in, and upload your pages. You can look at the ads on your
pages, but do not click on one. Don't even think about it. Clickfraud is
dealt with very sternly - your account is suspended, and any earnings you
had to that point are forfeit if you are suspected of clickfraud, and Google
does not change their mind. Once you are out, you are out for good. If you
want to make money with Google, clickfraud is not the way to do it, and they
consider any clicks you generate to be clickfraud.

Tip! Ad Blocking: Some offices and similar work-environments are now actively blocking Google AdSense advertisements from showing on their browsers. Google has responded with server side publishing of ads for some large web-publishers.

Don't have your friends go clicking on the ads either. Clicks are analyzed
for normal patterns, and any anomalies will raise a red flag.

You can create "channels" in Google, to track the performance of various
site sections, pages, or separate sites. This will help you to see what is
working and what is not. Your goal is to make money... but fairly. You don't
want to cheat anyone else by using unethical tactics to do so. Just follow
the rules and use the tools Google provides to see which of your areas does
best.

Tip! Be patient. AdSense is constantly growing in terms of participants and the AdSense team gets thousands of requests a day regarding their scheme.

Once you get one site going well, you can build another. And with the next
one, you don't have to apply for an account with Google, you are already in.
Just load the site, register it, and add the Google code.

Tip! Follow the adsense program policies to the letter.

Google AdSense can be a great way to either supplement your existing
website, or to build a separate income based on information sites. It takes
a lot of work to make a full time income from it, but then, everything does!

By John Peace

Tip! Increase Your Content. A small 8-10 page site can generate AdSense revenue particularly if the information is up to date and the site is well maintained.

What is AdSense Ads? AdSense Ads is an advertising program from Google. You may have noticed when you are reading a webpage, there are little ads displaying at the various parts of the web site. Beneath these Ads, there is a small print written as Ads serve by Google. These are actually AdSense Ads. These AdSense Ads are paid by the merchants to Google through a program called AdWords. These AdSense Ads will only display relevant ads on the particular web site. For example, if a site is on cars, only ads about cars will be displayed. This makes the whole web site relevant to the reader. This is a win-win situation. The reader gets what he is looking for and the advertiser provides the relevant information to the right target market. Much has been talked about making money with AdSense Ads. Yes, this is indeed a relatively easy way to make money. However, you must be registered with Goggle first to open an AdSense account. You may go to the Google site for registration information. After having an account, it is time to put ads onto your web site. You need to have a little technical knowledge to do it yourself. Assuming that you have put the AdSense Ads on your web page, when someone clicks on the AdSense Ads on your web site, you will get paid for it. But the good news is that, currently, there are softwares that can greatly reduce this effort. The software will create your desired web site with your AdSense code embedded into it. Best of all, the software has the capability to put in relevant affiliate products into the same web site as well. This is double gain. Your will make money from the AdSense Ads as well as affiliate product if the user chose to buy. The ultimate point here is, you can get the software for free. Yes, it is free for use and can be downloaded at the below URL. You are encouraged to download a copy to try it out. You do not need to buy anything.
